WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Psychiatric Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Smithtown, NY.  

Job Function:  

• Night Shift.

• 7:00 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.

• Assess patients’ psychiatric status and monitor behavioral changes.

• Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement psychiatric intervention plans.

• Administer psychotropic and related medications as prescribed.

• Build and maintain a positive therapeutic relationship to support patient morale.

• Monitor adherence to non-medication treatment plans and therapeutic activities.

• Ensure a safe environment by removing potentially harmful or triggering items.

Job Requirements:

• 2 years of experience
• NYS License
• LTAC experience needed
• Travel experience required
• CCRN, TNCC. CPI, BLS, NIHSS, PALS & ACLS.
