WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced  Oncology  Registered Nurse  for  a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in  Needham, MA.

Job Function:  

• Day Shift.
• 5x8: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
• Administer chemotherapy, therapeutic treatments, blood transfusions, and perform phlebotomy  
• Provide and coordinate patient care in an  ambulatory  oncology  setting  
• Assess, diagnose, plan, and intervene in actual  or  potential health problems  
• Evaluate patient responses to treatment and adjust care plans accordingly  
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, symptom management, and health maintenance  
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive care  
• Support unit operations including patient flow, assignments,  ordering, and medical record preparation  

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of oncology experience (required)

• Outpatient oncology care coordination experience strongly preferred

• Active Massachusetts RN license required at submission

• BLS required

• Must have experience with: VNA/Hospice/DME referrals, Coordinating specialty referrals, Scheduling imaging & IR procedures, Oral chemotherapy authorization workflows
