Description
WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in Hartford, CT. This role is ideal for an OR nurse who thrives in a fast‑paced surgical environment and is committed to delivering safe, high‑quality perioperative care.
Job Function:
- Day Shift.
- 2x8 + 2x12.
- Document all patient care accurately, completely, and promptly in the facility EMR
- Prepare the operating room for procedures and assist with room turnover
- Assist with patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure
- Handle and label specimens according to policy
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection‑control standards
- Identify and initiate corrective actions when necessary
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure efficient workflow
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Current RN license for the state that you are working in.
- 2 full years of acute care experience in this specialty.
- BLS & ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
