WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced  Operating Room Registered Nurse  for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in  Jersey City, NJ. This role is ideal for an OR nurse who thrives in a fast‑paced surgical environment and is committed to delivering safe, high‑quality perioperative care.  

Job Function:  

• Day Shift.
• 4x10: 7am- 5:30pm.
• Document all patient care accurately, completely, and promptly in the facility EMR  
• Prepare the operating room for procedures and  assist  with room turnover  
• Assist  with patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure  
• Handle and label specimens according to policy  
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection‑control standards  
• Identify  and  initiate  corrective actions when necessary  
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure efficient workflow  

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to Scrub AND Circulate

• 2+ years current acute‑care OR experience required

• Level II Trauma experience preferred

• Level I Trauma experience preferred

• Robotic & ENT experience required

• Ortho, Vascular, General, Thoracic, Neuro required

• BLS – Required

• ACLS – Required
