WCS  Healthcare is  currently  seeking an experienced  Emergency Room Registered Nurse  for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in  Bronx, NY. This  role is  ideal for a clinically  strong RN who thrives  in a fast‑paced environment and is  confident caring for patients  experiencing life‑threatening conditions.  

Job Function:  

• Night Shift.
• 3x12: 7pm-7:30am.
• Manage the care of adult and/or pediatric patients  with critical, life‑threatening conditions  requiring rapid assessment and high‑intensity interventions.  
• Provide emotional  support, education, and clear communication to patients  and families  during emergency  situations.  
• Collaborate closely with physicians  and the interdisciplinary team, recognizing when early intervention is  needed.  
• Prepare patients  for  surgery, imaging, and diagnostic procedures.  
• Perform essential emergency procedures  including IV insertion, medication administration, blood draws, and airway  support (intubation  assistance).  
• Maintain  accurate  and  timely  documentation in the EMR.  

Job Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited  School of Nursing or  Bachelor's  Degree in Nursing  (BSN).

• Current RN license for the  state that you are working in (or willingness  to obtain).

• Minimum 2 years ER RN experience.

• Required Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (mandatory).

• Vent experience required.
