Description
WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. This role is ideal for an ICU‑trained RN with strong clinical judgment, rapid assessment skills, and the ability to manage complex, high‑acuity patients.
Job Function:
- Night Shift.
- 3x12: 7pm-7:30am.
- Evaluate and continuously monitor patient progress in the ICU
- Identify sudden or subtle changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately
- Provide timely updates to physicians, patients, and family members
- Initiate treatments, administer medications, and monitor dosing
- Respond to medical emergencies and activate appropriate clinical teams
- Deliver comprehensive care throughout the patient’s ICU stay
- Complete all required documentation prior to patient transfer
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of current CVICU experience
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Active NJ or Compact RN License
Stroke CEUs (as required by facility)
Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT (Prismax) OR Documented experience with fresh heart cases on skills checklist
