Local Contract Nurse RN - Oncology

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced  Oncology  Registered Nurse  for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital  in  Neptune, NJ. This role is ideal  for an RN with strong  oncology  skills, chemotherapy experience, and the ability to coordinate complex ambulatory patient care.  

Job Function:   

• Night Shift.
• 3x12: 7pm-7:30am.
• Administer chemotherapy, therapeutic treatments, blood transfusions, and perform phlebotomy
• Provide and coordinate patient care in an ambulatory  oncology  setting
• Assess, diagnose, plan, and intervene in actual  or potential  health problems
• Evaluate patient responses to treatment and adjust care plans accordingly
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, symptom management, and health maintenance
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive care
• Support unit operations including patient flow, assignments, ordering, and medical  record preparation  

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute adult oncology experience

• Experience specifically with leukemia and lymphoma in an inpatient setting

• Active NJ RN License or Compact RN License

• BLS – American Heart Association

• Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card – ONS Certified

• Associates Degree Required
