WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced  Operating  Room Registered Nurse  for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital  in  Newark, NJ. This role is ideal  for an OR nurse who thrives in a fast‑paced surgical  environment and is committed to delivering safe, high‑quality perioperative care.  

Job Function:  

• Day Shift.
• 3x12: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM.
• Document all  patient care accurately, completely, and promptly in the facility EMR  
• Prepare the  operating  room for procedures and  assist  with room turnover  
• Assist  with patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure  
• Handle and  label  specimens according to policy  
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection‑control  standards  
• Identify  and  initiate  corrective actions when necessary  
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure efficient workflow  

Job Requirements:

• Active NJ or Compact RN License (must be active at submission)

• BLS – American Heart Association

• Minimum 2.5 years of CVOR or high‑acuity OR experience

• EPIC charting experience required

• Locals: Accepted at same rate
