Description
WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Ambulatory Registered Nurse to join a respected healthcare system on a contract assignment in New Haven, CT. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN who thrives in a fast‑paced outpatient environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Job Function:
- Day Shift.
- 4x10: 7:30am -5:30pm.
- Conduct patient intake, including health history, symptoms, and concerns for provider review.
- Identify changes in patient condition and respond appropriately, including emergency intervention when necessary.
- Administer medications, perform blood draws, and provide vaccinations in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Monitor and document vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
- Stay current with clinical best practices, regulatory requirements, and new treatment protocols.
Job Requirements:
RN, ONS/ONCC required (Chemo certification required even though no infusion is done).
2 years Oncology RN experience (1.5 years accepted with Level I or travel experience).
Ambulatory experience required.
Phone triage experience required.
Travel experience required.
- BLS.
