Local Contract Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery

WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced  Labor & Delivery RN  to join a high‑performing  L&D team at a respected hospital in Worcester, MA. The ideal clinician is confident in fetal monitoring, labor management, emergency response, and supporting providers throughout the childbirth process.  

Job Function:  

• Night Shift.
• 3x12:   6:45pm-7:15am.
• Assess and categorize patients into the  appropriate level  of care  
• Apply and interpret  external fetal monitoring, including fetal heart tracings and uterine activity  
• Implement  timely  interventions based on fetal heart rate patterns and maternal condition  
• Identify  and respond to obstetric emergencies, escalating to providers appropriately  
• Administer medications safely  in accordance with  the  Five Rights  and infection‑control standards  
• Perform pain assessments and reassess per clinical guidelines  
• Assist  physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care  

Job Requirements:

• Active MA RN License (may submit without license only if no background hits; must prioritize licensing immediately after offer)

• AWHONN Intermediate or above required

• ACLS, BLS, NRP required

• EPIC experience required

• 3 years L&D experience strongly preferred (will consider 2+ years with travel experience)
