Description
WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Ambulatory Registered Nurse to join a respected healthcare system on a contract assignment in New York City. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN who thrives in a fast‑paced outpatient environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Job Function:
- Shift: 40 hrs | 4x9 Days.
- Conduct patient intake, including health history, symptoms, and concerns for provider review.
- Identify changes in patient condition and respond appropriately, including emergency intervention when necessary.
- Administer medications, perform blood draws, and provide vaccinations in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Monitor and document vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
- Stay current with clinical best practices, regulatory requirements, and new treatment protocols.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Associate Degree in Nursing accepted with relevant experience and/or active BSN enrollment
- Active NYS RN License
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Oncology and infusion experience required
- Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, or Biotherapy Provider Card required
- EPIC experience highly preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred for travel assignments
