WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Intermediate Care Nurse a for a 13-week contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Lagrange, GA.

Job Function:

• Shift & Hours: 3x12 NIGHTS -7P-730AM
• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and  records  prescribed medications.    
• Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments  in accordance with  the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse  
• Educates patients on surgical procedures
• Records patients’ medical information and vital signs  
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays  
• Initiates corrective action whenever the patient  

Job Requirements:

• 1 to 2 years of active clinical experience in an Intermediate Care, Stepdown, or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) hospital setting.

• Strong comfort level caring for pre- and post-operative surgical patients, managing specialized equipment, and tracking continuous cardiac telemetry.

• Exceptional clinical judgment with proven ability to lead rapid interventions during sudden changes in patient acuity.

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license for the State of Georgia or a valid multi-state Compact license.

• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
