Description
WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Step‑Down RN for a contract assignment at a prestigious hospital in Brunswick, GA. This role is ideal for a nurse who excels in high‑acuity environments, uses strong critical‑thinking skills, and delivers patient‑centered care grounded in evidence‑based practice.
Job Function:
- Shift & Hours: 3x12 Nights (36 hours)
- Deliver high‑quality patient care using the principles of Relationship‑Centered Care, integrating theory, research, and evidence‑based practice.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs while applying strong critical‑thinking skills to guide clinical decision‑making.
- Integrate comprehensive assessment and intervention skills into all aspects of nursing care.
- Prioritize patient care activities, including teaching, rounding, coaching, discharge planning, and appropriate delegation.
- Educate patients and caregivers about the plan of care, transitions of care, health promotion, and disease prevention—anticipating needs and readiness to learn.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current RN license for the state that you are working in (or willingness to obtain)
- 2 years of acute ICU/CCU Stepdown RN experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Traveler has completed one prior travel assignment
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications from the American Heart Association
