Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) – Night Shift (Travelers only)

Job Summary:
The Medical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients. Working under the direction of laboratory leadership and pathology staff, this role ensures high-quality results while maintaining compliance with established standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests across multiple disciplines, including:
o Blood Bank
o Chemistry
o Hematology
o Coagulation
o Urinalysis
o Microbiology (including Gram stains)
• Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
• Adhere to laboratory policies, procedures, and safety regulations
• Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, and processing
• Maintain quality control and participate in quality assurance programs
• Document and report test findings in a timely manner
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment

Schedule:
• Night Shift: 10-hour shifts
• Rotating schedule including weekdays and weekends
• Biweekly guaranteed hours as per assignment requirements

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related scientific field
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) by a nationally recognized agency (e.g., ASCP) or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of recent laboratory experience
• Strong experience as a generalist across multiple lab disciplines
• Proficiency in laboratory information systems and electronic medical records (EMR)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
