Experience: Scrub & Circulate | Multi-specialty OR experience

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) is responsible for delivering high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. This role involves both circulating and scrubbing during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile technique, and collaborating with the surgical team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
Perform both circulating and scrub nurse duties as required
Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile field for procedures
Ensure strict adherence to aseptic and infection control protocols
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members
Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and respond to changes
Document all aspects of patient care accurately in the EMR system
Assist in a variety of surgical specialties including orthopedic, ophthalmology, gynecology, urology, general, breast, and plastic surgeries
Maintain patient safety and compliance with hospital policies and standards
Float to other units or affiliated campuses as needed

Requirements
Required Qualifications
Active RN license (state-specific, required at time of submission)
Current BLS certification (AHA)
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
Proficiency in both scrubbing and circulating roles
Experience with multiple surgical specialties (ortho, ophthalmology, gyn, urology, general, plastics, etc.)
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), preferably Epic
Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Previous travel nursing experience
Experience working in large or multi-campus healthcare systems

Schedule Details
13-week contract
40 hours per week (72 hours biweekly guaranteed)
Day shift: 07:00 AM – 05:30 PM
4 shifts per week (10-hour shifts), Monday–Friday
No weekends or on-call required
Schedule may vary with no fixed day off
