Job Title: Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse – Night Shift (Contract)
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift: Night Shift / Varied Schedule
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, age-specific patient care in a Med Surg / Telemetry setting. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while adhering to established nursing standards and specialty-specific guidelines.
This role includes leadership responsibilities such as delegating tasks to support staff and ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care in a Med Surg / Telemetry environment
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Delegate and supervise tasks assigned to nursing support staff
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
Ensure adherence to clinical standards, policies, and safety protocols
Specialties Supported:
Telemetry Med/Surg
Step Down Unit (PCU/SCU)
Med-Surg Adult & Ortho
Observation Unit
Critical Access / Critical Care (CCU)
Pediatric Med-Surg
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure required upon acceptance)
Minimum experience: Less than 1 year accepted
Certifications required prior to start (or scheduled before orientation):
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC
Assignment Details:
Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Overtime applicable after 40 hours per week
No on-call requirement
No holiday coverage required

EMR System: CPSI / Evident
Multiple openings available
Standard compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies required
