Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Adult Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in an inpatient behavioral health setting. The RN will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide direct and indirect patient care for adult behavioral health patients. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced psychiatric environment and floating to Chemical Dependency/Detox units as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult psychiatric patients
Administer medications and monitor patient responses
Complete daily patient documentation accurately and timely
Monitor and manage patient behaviors while maintaining a safe therapeutic environment
Participate in and lead patient education and group sessions
Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, families, and healthcare staff
Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic communication at all times
Requirements:
Active RN License (Maine or Compact State)
BLS Certification required
CPI Certification required
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
1–3 years of adult psychiatric nursing experience preferred
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Important Notes:
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius
Previous employees will not be considered
Candidates with background or licensure hits will not be accepted
Traveler must be willing to float to Chemical Dependency/Detox units
Up to 16 hours of orientation may be unpaid
Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week assignment
