Description

Job Summary

The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role requires strong clinical expertise, the ability to manage routine and high-risk deliveries, and close collaboration with obstetric and neonatal care teams.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods

Monitor maternal and fetal status, including fetal heart rate interpretation

Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders

Assist with vaginal and operative deliveries, including emergency situations

Identify and respond promptly to obstetric and neonatal emergencies

Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and neonatal teams

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical standards

Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience within the last 3 years

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Compunnel Healthcare Job ID #KAISJP00247063. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
