Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Need
Specialty: Registered Nurse – Outpatient / Urgent Care
Shift: 12-hour shifts (9:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Schedule: Sunday–Saturday; weekends and holidays included
Hours: 36 hours per week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to support a high-acuity advanced care center. This setting functions similarly to urgent care with an added critical decision unit and the ability to provide overnight observation. The RN will play a key role in delivering timely, high-quality patient care using evidence-based nursing practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Utilize the nursing process to assess patient health status, identify nursing diagnoses, and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Provide direct nursing care to patients with varying levels of acuity in an outpatient/urgent care setting
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor clinical status
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and clinical protocols
• Communicate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Ensure compliance with patient safety standards, infection control practices, and regulatory requirements
• Float to multiple clinic locations as needed
• Support weekend, holiday, and flexible scheduling requirements
Required Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state license required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity outpatient environment
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
Additional Information
• Per diem role with weekly timekeeping
• 12-hour shifts with potential overnight observation responsibilities
• Travel between clinic locations may be required
