Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a critical need assignment in an outpatient clinic and urgent care setting. The RN will provide high-quality patient care, assess and monitor patient conditions, administer treatments, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role involves caring for patients in a fast-paced environment, including monitoring patients during extended observation and overnight transition periods.

Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in an outpatient and urgent care environment.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately.
Monitor patients requiring observation and transition care.
Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed.
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
Participate in care coordination and discharge planning activities.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) experience.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous Urgent Care or Observation Unit experience.
Experience with transition monitoring and extended patient observation.
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Strong teamwork and patient education skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient care needs.
