Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join an inpatient rehabilitation team for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing high-quality occupational therapy services in an acute care or inpatient setting while collaborating with occupational therapists and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to help patients regain independence and improve functional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, coordination, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
Monitor patient progress and accurately document treatment sessions and outcomes.
Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and home safety techniques.
Maintain patient records in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and compliance guidelines.
Required Qualifications
Active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient Occupational Therapy Assistant experience.
Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with diverse patient populations in an acute care or rehabilitation setting.
Excellent teamwork and organizational skills.
Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays as needed.
