Description
We are hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Brooklyn, NY. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain skills needed for everyday life. Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college.
- Active New York State COTA license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel therapy experience preferred.
- Experience with restorative nursing programs and ADL training preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records preferred.
