Make a real difference as a travel PTA in Silver Spring, MD. You will work with outpatients recovering from injury or illness, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. A recruiter will follow up with assignment details.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited educational program.
• Active Maryland PTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred.
• Experience working in an outpatient clinical setting required.
• Familiarity with common outpatient therapeutic modalities and assistive device training such as therapeutic exercise, balance and gait training, hot/cold modalities, ultrasound, and TENS preferred.
• Ability to implement treatment plans and document patient progress according to clinic policies.
• Demonstrated adherence to patient and employee safety practices, including safe patient handling and infection control procedures.
• Client requires candidates who can work within established clinic protocols and collaborate in interdisciplinary team conferences.
