Description

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited educational program.
- Active California PTA license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Outpatient clinic experience required. No new graduates.
- Experience performing 60-minute evaluation and treatment sessions, including evaluations, goal writing, and individualized treatment planning.
- Proven competency in documentation, including functional quality indicator assessment, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with clinic and payer guidelines.
- Ability to supervise and delegate discipline-specific therapy tasks as appropriate.
- Maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete state-mandated continuing education.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace hazard reporting.
- Preferred: experience precepting or supervising students and participation in performance improvement initiatives.
