Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active California Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
• BLS Certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Outpatient therapy experience preferred, including orthopedic and post-operative caseloads.
• Experience with functional outcome measures, documentation of goals, and letters of medical necessity preferred.
• Ability to evaluate patients, develop and modify treatment plans, and delegate to therapy assistants as appropriate.
• Completion of state-mandated continuing education and adherence to State Practice Act.
• Comfort participating in student clinical education is preferred.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Outpatient clinic.
• Schedule: 5x8.
• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Assignment Duration: 13 week assignment.
• Caseload: Outpatient orthopedic and functional rehabilitation focus.

Position Overview

Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. Design functional treatment programs to support return to community activities. Provide patient, family, student, and coworker education. Maintain timely, accurate documentation and comply with clinic policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in performance improvement activities and professional development.
