Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Arizona Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Demonstrated experience performing comprehensive PT evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, and documenting progress in an acute hospital setting.
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and coordinating equipment trials and discharge planning in hospital care.
- Competence in completing required documentation including daily notes, goal writing, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry compliant with hospital policies and payer guidelines.
- Ability to supervise and mentor students and delegate discipline-specific therapy services when assigned.
- Adherence to state practice act, professional codes of conduct, and maintenance of professional licensure and required continuing education.
- Preferred: prior hospital or acute care physical therapy experience and familiarity with safe patient handling procedures. Preferred items are not required.
