Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT with Jackson Therapy Partners. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily skills while exploring a new location.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program or foreign equivalent that meets state requirements.
• Active Virginia Occupational Therapist license preferred. Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain VA licensure prior to the assignment.
• Minimum 3 years of occupational therapy experience required. 5 years of experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of travel therapy experience required; 2 years preferred. Local candidates will be considered.
• Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of orientation.
• Experience working with adult and geriatric populations, including stroke, amputee, hip fracture, and medically complex patients, preferred.
• Experience in acute rehab, medical-surgical, or acute care settings preferred.
• Ability to perform evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, document in electronic medical records, and participate in interdisciplinary discharge planning.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Hospital (23-bed Acute Rehab Unit; ARU Rehab Department/Med-Surg split).
• Shift Name: Days.
• Shift Pattern: 8-hour day shift with rotating weekends.
• Patient Population: Stroke, amputee, hip fracture, and medical patients.
• Support Staff: Rehab techs, PPS coordinator, social worker, referral liaisons, and administrative assistant.
• Duration: 13-week travel assignment.

Job Details and Expectations

Conduct initial assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, provide age-appropriate therapeutic interventions, and document care in the electronic medical record. Participate in discharge planning and interdisciplinary team meetings. Contribute to performance improvement and departmental safety activities. Maintain required licensure and certifications. Manager will perform clinical interview following resume review, which may impact timing of an offer.
