Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active DC Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Outpatient physical therapy experience preferred, including evaluation, plan of care development, and functional treatment programs.
- Experience with documentation, goal writing, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with payer and clinic policies preferred.
- Ability to supervise and delegate to therapy aides or assistants and to participate in student training as needed (preferred).
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe patient handling and infection control procedures preferred.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Outpatient clinic.
- Shift pattern: 5x8 schedule. Specific shift hours: Monday/Wednesday 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM; Tuesday/Thursday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM; Friday 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Start date: assignment begins in May; earlier start considered if available.
- Parking costs are covered by the clinic.
- Clinic is accessible via local bus transit.

Impacting Patient Care
As a travel PT in this outpatient setting, you will evaluate assigned patients, develop and modify treatment plans, document care timely and accurately, and promote patient and employee safety. You will follow state practice acts and maintain professional licensure and continuing education.
