Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active Texas PTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred.
• Experience working in skilled nursing facility or long-term care settings preferred.
• Proven ability to follow established plans of care and document treatment in medical records per facility, state, and federal regulations.
• Demonstrated experience providing therapeutic interventions, patient and caregiver education, and monitoring patient response to treatment preferred.

Join as a PTA traveler and provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a Physical Therapist. You will record treatments, note progress, and ensure the highest degree of quality care for residents. Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, and administering treatment to relieve pain and restore function, delivering care according to established plans, instructing patients and caregivers, and completing required documentation.
