Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Active State PTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience providing direct physical therapy interventions in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.
• Ability to document treatments and patient progress in medical records according to facility and regulatory requirements.
• Comfort working under the direction, delegation, and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• New graduates welcome. Prior experience with restorative care, transfers, gait training, therapeutic exercise, and ADL training is preferred.
