Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Florida PT license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross may be required.
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or acute care settings preferred.
• Competency with comprehensive evaluation, goal writing, discharge planning, and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and payer requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and perform safe patient handling techniques.
• Documentation and electronic medical record experience required; familiarity with functional outcome measures and letters of medical necessity preferred.
• Current professional liability insurance as required by the facility or employer.
• Willingness to participate in student supervision and professional development activities.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Hospital (Inpatient Rehabilitation focus).
• Shift: Day (5x8).
• Duration: 13 week assignment.
• Positions Available: 1.
• Clinical focus: Inpatient rehab patient evaluations, individualized treatment plans, interdisciplinary discharge planning, equipment trialing, patient and family training, and timely documentation.
• May be required to follow hospital safety protocols, safe patient handling, infection control, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
