Make a real difference as a travel PTA in an outpatient clinic in Santa Monica, CA. Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active California PTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC preferred. (Client may require BLS; maintain current certification.)
• Outpatient experience required. No new graduates.
• Proven experience performing 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions.
• Demonstrated ability to complete comprehensive evaluations, develop and modify treatment plans, and document in compliance with clinic and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with patient education, delegation to therapy aides or assistants, and supervising students preferred.
• Maintain professional licensure and meet state-mandated continuing education requirements.

Additional Job Details and Expectations

• Complete comprehensive evaluations and write functional, goal-focused plans to progress patients toward discharge within established lengths of stay.
• Document accurately and timely, including goal writing, quality indicators, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry per clinic policies.
• Provide safe patient handling, materials handling, and infection control practices consistent with clinic safety initiatives.
• Participate in student programs as assigned; provide supervision, learning objectives, and student evaluations when applicable.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
