Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapist Assistant. You will work with patients in a skilled nursing facility who are recovering from injury or illness, helping them improve mobility, reduce pain, and regain independence under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
• Active New York State PTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred. If required by the client, BLS must be current prior to start.
• Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to follow PT plans of care and document per facility standards.
• Client requires prior experience with patient transfers and use of common assistive devices and mobility equipment such as Hoyer lifts, gait belts, and walkers.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical PTA experience preferred. Less experience may be considered based on demonstrated competence.
