Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Texas Physical Therapist license required prior to the start of the assignment.
• BLS certification required from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings preferred, including evaluation and development of 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions.
• Demonstrated competency in documentation, goal writing, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services, and supervise students when assigned.
• Adherence to state practice act, professional codes of conduct, and completion of state-mandated continuing education requirements.
• Preferred: Familiarity with safe patient handling, infectious disease precautions, and clinic safety initiatives.
