Description
Make a real difference as a travel PTA. You will work with patients recovering from injuries or illness, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. Apply today and a recruiter will follow up with the details.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Maryland Physical Therapist Assistant license required to start the assignment.
- BLS Certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient PTA experience required. No new graduates.
- Experience with common outpatient modalities and equipment including therapeutic exercise, gait training with assistive devices, whirlpools, hot/cold packs, ultrasound, TENS, and paraffin preferred.
- Ability to implement treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist and document patient progress accurately.
- Demonstrated adherence to safety and infection control practices and safe patient handling techniques.
- Willingness to split time between two clinic locations as part of the assignment preferred.
