Description
We're hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Washington, DC. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help residents regain the skills needed for daily living through therapeutic activities, adaptive equipment training, and documentation of progress. Minimum Requirements
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college.
- Active District of Columbia COTA license or ability to obtain required DC licensure prior to start.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC is required prior to start.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a COTA in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred.
- Experience with ADL retraining, durable medical equipment recommendations, and restorative nursing programs preferred.
- Competence in documentation within electronic health record systems preferred.
