Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active North Carolina (or compact-state equivalent if applicable) PT license required prior to start.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC required.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care physical therapy experience required. Candidates with acute care PT/OT experience are acceptable as first-time travelers.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record preferred.
• Ability to manage acute patient types including post-operative care, neurologic conditions, general debility, COPD, and CHF.
• Willingness to float between nearby hospital campuses as needed.
• Orientation/onboarding availability for a 4–5 day department-specific onboarding period.
• Preferred: prior trauma or Level III hospital experience.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Hospital (acute care, 142-bed, Level III trauma center).
• Position: Physical Therapist, Travel assignment, 26-week duration.
• Shift Name: Days.
• Shift Details: Days 0800-1700, 5x8 schedule.
• Standard Hours Per Week: 40.
• Weekend & Holiday Expectations: Rotating weekends; typical acute care weekend rotation approximately 1 weekend every 4–6 weeks. Holidays staffed unless approved RTO by leader.
• Schedule Notes: Shifts are generally 5–8 hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
• Onboarding: Department onboarding of 4–5 days.
