Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active California Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or Red Cross may be required.
• Outpatient physical therapy experience required. Client specifies no new graduates; minimum prior clinical experience preferred.
• Experience with evaluation, development of treatment plans, functional goal-setting, and documentation compliant with payer and regulatory guidelines.
• Demonstrated competency in safe patient handling and materials handling procedures.
• Ability to supervise and delegate to therapy assistants and students, and participate in student programs when assigned.
• Maintain professional licensure and complete state-mandated continuing education per California practice act.
• Preferred: experience with outpatient documentation systems, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry.
