Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active District of Columbia PT license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required prior to start.
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient orthopedics experience required. Strong new graduate candidates will be considered.
- Experience with 45-minute evaluations and 45-minute treatment sessions, including documentation, goal writing, and letters of medical necessity.
- Ability to complete clear, concise, accurate, and timely medical record documentation and charge entry per clinic policies and payer requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to design functional treatment programs for return to community activities and to provide patient, family, and student education.
- Maintain professional licensure in good standing and meet state-mandated continuing education requirements.
- Ability to work within physician orders and insurance authorizations and to participate in performance improvement initiatives.
Assignment Details
- Facility Type: Outpatient clinic.
- Duration: 13 week assignment.
- Shift: 5x8 schedule.
- Schedule pattern: Monday and Wednesday 10:30 AM–7:00 PM; Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
- Patient mix: Outpatient orthopedic caseload.
- May be expected to provide delegation and direction for discipline-specific services and to participate in student supervision when assigned.
