Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Texas Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification required from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute hospital setting preferred. (Client-specific requirement.)
- Experience working with standard hospital equipment and inpatient EMR workflows (Meditech preferred).
- APTA graduate status preferred.
- Ability to work rotating weekends as required by unit schedule.
- Professional dress per unit guidelines: navy blue clinical scrubs.
Assignment Details
- Facility Type: Hospital.
- Shift Name: Days.
- Shift Details: Days 08:00–17:00.
- Typical patient ratio: approximately 1:12.
- Unit size: 444 beds; typical day staffing includes a charge therapist, three PTs, and two PTAs.
- Required certifications: Texas PT licensure, BLS.
- Responsibilities include assessing, treating, and planning therapeutic interventions as required by PT discipline.
- Dress code: navy blue scrubs.
- Weekend requirement: rotating weekends.
