Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active Texas state Physical Therapy license required to begin assignment.
  • Experience in inpatient rehabilitation hospital settings is required.
  • Competency in comprehensive evaluation, development of treatment plans, and functional goal writing.
  • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, perform timely equipment trialing and patient/family education.
  • Experience with documentation including daily notes, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry in accordance with hospital and payer guidelines.
  • Demonstrated safe patient handling practices and awareness of workplace safety protocols.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required prior to start.
  • Must maintain professional licensure and meet state-mandated continuing education requirements.
  • Preferred: experience supervising or precepting students and participating in performance improvement initiatives.

  • Facility Type: Hospital (inpatient rehabilitation focus)
  • Shift: Day, 5x8 schedule
  • Duration: 13 week assignment
  • Caseload: Inpatient rehabilitation patients with interdisciplinary team collaboration.
  • Clinical duties include comprehensive evaluations, individualized treatment planning, equipment trialing, patient and family education, and documentation.
  • May be asked to provide coverage and adapt caseload as departmental needs require.
