Description

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT. We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve their daily skills while exploring Rockford, IL.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Illinois Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Inpatient acute care experience required. Candidate must have experience treating post-operative patients including spine, CABG, rotator cuff, and mastectomy cases.
  • Experience providing OT services in ICU settings, including early post-op (POD #1) evaluations, preferred.
  • Experience with orthopedic post-operative care, including posterior hip surgeries, anterior THA/TKA screening workflows, and handling consults for amputations, pneumonia, DKA, CVA, sepsis, and cardiac conditions preferred.
  • Ability to cover multiple floors and float within the hospital setting as needed.
  • Must be available to work one weekend day every four weeks, with schedule flexibility during that week. Must be available to work July 4th during the assignment.

  • Schedule Pattern: 5x8
  • Setting: Strictly inpatient; OTs cover all hospital floors and are not assigned to a single floor.
  • Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend day every 4 weeks, with flex during that week.
  • Holiday Requirement: Must work July 4th during the assignment.
  • ICU Responsibilities: May evaluate post-op CABG patients, typically on POD #1.
  • Float Requirement: Candidate must be able to float to other units within the hospital as needed.
