Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Physical Therapist license required in the state of Virginia upon submittal. Candidates with an active Virginia license or ability to obtain one will be considered.
• BLS/CPR certification required from AHA or ARC.
• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings. Candidate should be comfortable evaluating and treating primarily outpatient caseloads.
• Experience treating adults across the lifespan, including geriatric patients; pediatric experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to manage a typical caseload of approximately 7–8 patients per day.
• Willingness to provide occasional coverage for small med/surg units and same-day surgery (total knees) as needed.
• On-call availability as scheduled. Current coverage expectation: approximately every 4th weekend on call for inpatient needs.
• Maintain required certifications and credentials in good standing. Specialty certifications such as OCS, SCS, NDT, Lymphedema, or Women’s Health are preferred but not required.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital with primarily outpatient clinic service and occasional inpatient/ same-day surgery coverage.
• Shift days: Monday through Friday.
• Shift hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• On-call: Every 4th weekend on call for inpatient coverage, as scheduled.
• Typical caseload: Approximately 7–8 patients per day.
• Floating: May be required to provide coverage to other units within the facility (no other facilities specified).
