Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active Ohio PTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience implementing treatment goals and assisting with interventions such as posture training, strengthening, endurance/cardiac training, balance and coordination exercises, joint mobility, and functional skills training.
• Experience training patients in use of assistive devices (canes, crutches, walkers, wheelchairs) and proper guarding techniques.
• Experience documenting patient progress, providing patient and family education, and participating in team conferences.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities including hot/cold packs, ultrasound, TENS, whirlpool, iontophoresis, fluidotherapy, and therapeutic pool preferred.
• Ability to follow safety, infection control, and equipment use policies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Outpatient experience preferred.
• Experience with safe patient handling and materials handling preferred.
• Previous participation in quality improvement projects and peer education preferred.

• Shift pattern: 5x8 schedule.
• Location: Columbus, OH outpatient setting.
