Physical Therapist - Outpatient - Houston, TX
Provide patient-centered outpatient physical therapy services to evaluate, develop, implement, and modify treatment plans that facilitate return to community activities. Complete comprehensive evaluations, document progress, write goals, and perform 60-minute evaluations and treatments as indicated. Participate in student education and professional development. Follow applicable state practice acts, maintain licensure, and adhere to organizational policies regarding safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Texas Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings preferred.
- Ability to perform 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions.
- Experience with documentation, goal writing, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated competency in safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supervising or teaching students in a clinical setting.
- Experience with performance improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Assignment Details
- Schedule: 5x8 staffing pattern (40 hours per week).
- Evaluation and treatment sessions typically 60 minutes for eval + treatment.
- May be expected to follow clinic guidelines for appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
