Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active MA State PTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience providing outpatient physical therapy interventions, including posture training, strengthening, endurance/cardiac training, balance and coordination exercises, joint mobility, pain relief, and functional skills training.
• Experience training patients in use of assistive devices (canes, crutches, walkers, wheelchairs) and safe gait/guarding techniques.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as hot/cold packs, paraffin, ultrasound, iontophoresis, TENS, fluidotherapy, and therapeutic pool or whirlpool use is preferred.
• Ability to document patient progress and provide patient and family education per facility guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe patient handling and infection control practices.
• Experience participating in interdisciplinary team conferences and quality improvement projects.

• Shift pattern: 5x8.

Impacting Patient Care

You will implement treatment goals and plans established by the Physical Therapist and assist with therapeutic interventions to meet patients’ long-term goals. You will promote patient and employee safety, follow facility appearance and punctuality standards, document patient progress, participate in team conferences, and support quality and efficiency initiatives. Adhere to safety and infection control practices and maintain a clean treatment area. Perform other duties as assigned.
