Description
Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapist Assistant in Concord, MA. You will work with patients recovering from injury or illness, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Massachusetts PTA license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience working in outpatient settings preferred.
- Demonstrated competence with therapeutic modalities and functional training used in outpatient therapy, including gait training and assistive device instruction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel PTA experience.
- Familiarity with whirlpool, ultrasound, and other common outpatient modalities.
- Experience documenting progress and participating in interdisciplinary team conferences.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 5x8.
- May be required to float to other local facilities as needed.

Impacting Patient Care
As a traveler PTA you will implement treatment goals and assist the Physical Therapist with interventions to achieve long-term patient outcomes. Responsibilities include posture training, strengthening, endurance training, balance and coordination exercises, joint mobility, pain relief techniques, functional skills training, community re-entry training, gait and assistive-device training, safe patient handling, modality use, patient education, and documentation of progress. You will follow facility safety and infection-control procedures and participate in team conferences and quality improvement projects.
