Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapist Assistant in Kyle, TX. You will work in an inpatient hospital rehabilitation setting helping patients recover from neurological and orthopedic conditions and general deconditioning under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role involves direct patient care, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and documentation in an electronic health record. Kyle is part of the Greater Austin area and offers access to regional resources and amenities for clinicians relocating to the region.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Active Texas PTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required or may be required.
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation preferred and relevant to setting.
• Experience treating patients with stroke and Parkinson's disease preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems; experience with WellSky preferred.
• Current resume required for submission.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior inpatient rehab experience with a diverse caseload including neuro, ortho, and general deconditioning.
• Comfort providing approximately 6.5–7 hours of direct patient care per day.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.

Assignment Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation setting with a diverse caseload: neuro, ortho, general deconditioning.
• Approximately 6.5–7 hours of patient care per day.
• Preferred coverage schedule includes Tuesdays through Saturdays.
• Must be able to start as soon as possible to backfill a JTP candidate.
• Documentation in WellSky may be required.
