Description
Make a real difference as a travel PTA in Winchester, VA. You will work with adult and adolescent patients recovering from injuries or illness, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Virginia PTA license or PT license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- 2+ years of experience as a PTA with orthopedic caseload preferred; 1 year of ortho experience may be considered depending on the candidate.
- Experience treating adults and adolescents.
- Experience with outpatient documentation systems such as NextGen preferred.
- Experience with caseloads averaging 50–55 visits per week preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfort managing orthopedic diagnoses including total joint replacement, rotator cuff repair (post-operative), ACL/meniscus injuries, fractures, plantar fasciitis, and generalized low back pain.
- Familiarity with gross motor assessment and case management.
- Business casual professional dress and outpatient clinic experience.
Assignment Details
- Shift Days: Days.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 5x8s.
- Candidate may be asked to float to other nearby clinics as needed.

Impacting Patient Care
Join a team that serves outpatient orthopedic and musculoskeletal populations. You will support recovery for conditions such as Achilles tendinopathy, ACL tears, rotator cuff injuries, spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis, fractures, and post-operative care after total joint replacement. Clinical documentation and care coordination will use established outpatient systems to ensure continuity of care.
