Join Jackson Therapy Partners as a travel Speech-Language Pathologist supporting a hospital in Walterboro, SC. Provide assessment and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders across inpatient rehabilitation and acute care settings. Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA.
• Active state SLP license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience conducting Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) is required.
• Experience working in an acute hospital setting is required.
• FEES certification and FEES experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel therapy experience preferred.
• Ability to function independently on mixed caseloads across rehabilitation and acute floors preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 0800-1630.
• Shift Length: 8-hour shifts with flexible start/stop time.
• Weekend expectation: one weekend per month with option to flex a weekday.
• Floating: expected to float between inpatient rehabilitation (14-bed IRF) and acute hospital floors (135-bed hospital including a 7-bed ICU).
• Documentation system: Meditech.
• Typical caseload: approximately 5–6 patients on rehab (3–5x/week) plus variable acute caseload; outpatient modifieds approximately 1x/week.
• Equipment: FEES available; MBSS experience required.

Impacting Patient Care

This role supports delivery of evidence-based speech-language pathology services across inpatient rehabilitation and acute settings. You will perform instrumental and clinical assessments, manage swallow and communication treatment plans, and contribute to stroke and dysphagia pathways. The department holds Joint Commission stroke certification and has received national performance recognition.
